🤠 Welcome to Gallup
Just over the Arizona border, Gallup in New Mexico is a working trading town with deep Navajo and Zuni connections. Its historic downtown and trading posts are packed with jewellery, rugs and pottery.

The El Rancho Hotel was a favourite of film stars making westerns nearby, and its lobby is still lined with signed photographs.
One thing to note: you gain an hour crossing from Arizona into New Mexico for much of the year, so check the clock when you arrive.
